English-born Kalbar author’s sixth novel set in Outback

GILLIAN Wells always knew she wanted to be a writer, but it wasn’t until her children had flown the coop and she became a grandmother that she had the chance to pen her first novel.

This week, the English-born Kalbar author will release her sixth adult novel, a tally which doesn’t include her two children's books and three yet-to-be-published novels.

And she’s already working on her next.

In Consequences, coming out from independent publisher Shawline this week, Mrs Wells picks up where she left off in Alone, which was published last year.
