A TWO vehicle traffic crash at Coulson this morning resulted prolonged delays for motorists.

It is understood there was one fatality and the road was closed while the forensic crash unit gathered evidence.

A spokesperson from Queensland Police said the accident was called in by people on scene around 8am.

Boonah Beaudesert Road has been closed to traffic since the accident but was expected to reopen around 2pm.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and expect delays.

The spokesperson said officers were notifying next of kin.

An earlier crash on Ipswich-Boonah Road near the new housing estate wall caused delays when a car left the road, landing in a ditch.

It’s understood no one was seriously injured in that accident.
