WITH reviews fresh out of Hollywood, excitement is building for the film that has been labelled as the “best Marvel movie in years” – Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3.

After first arriving on our big screens in 2014, the films have been hugely successful both commercially and critically, and have become fan favourites due to their unique blend of humour, action, heart and iconic soundtrack.

The success can be attributed to a number of aspects of the film, however the fantastic cast of characters takes the cake. Each of the Guardians is distinct and well-developed, with their own personalities, quirks, and flaws. From Chris Pratt’s charismatic Peter Quill (also known as Star-Lord) to the tough but lovable Gamora (Zoe Saldana), the characters are all relatable and likable, making it easy for audiences to root for them.

The films are also known for their great soundtracks, which feature a mix of classic rock and pop songs that perfectly complement the on-screen action. The use of music adds an extra element of fun to the films and helps to create a unique atmosphere that set them apart from other superhero movies.

In addition to the quintessential soundtrack and charming band of misfits, the Guardians of the Galaxy films also provide compelling storylines that keep audiences engaged from beginning to end.

Each film has its own self-contained plot, but there are also overarching storylines that connect the movies together and provide continuity for the franchise.

With Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 set for release tomorrow (May 4) and the final Marvel Studios film from writer-director James Gunn, we reflect on the previous two films that have provided great storytelling, engaging (and mostly loveable) characters and prepare for an action-packed ride that is sure to leave audiences entertained as the Guardians will be sure to leave the galaxy with a final ride to remember. This film is an absolute must-see on the big screen at your local cinema!

Limelight Cinemas Ipswich has advance screenings of Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 from 6pm today (May 3).
