The multi-million-dollar upgrade of the Lake Moogerah Caravan Park will result in an increased number of campsites beyond the 115, which are now available.
But Scenic Rim Mayor Greg Christensen says that the final number of campsites won’t be revealed until the Council has completed negotiations with dam owner, Seqwater.
The master plan for the refurbished caravan and camping ground was tabled during a recent closed session Council workshop.
The popular lakeside facility is controlled by the Scenic Rim Regional Council and managed by Victorian company, BelgraviaPro.
The first stage of the upgrade is completed. It included the installation of a water treatment plant and an upgrade of the effluent storage system.
