Indoor skate park facility has fingers crossed for Ipswich location

Keen skateboarders and scooter riders in Ipswich could have a new spot to skate in Blackstone, if a development application submitted to Ipswich City Council is approved. 

Indoor skatepark ‘RampAttack’ previously operated for 11 years in Brisbane, but after being shut down in January, the company has been on the lookout for new premises. 

The application to Council outlined how the building on 3 Mary St, which was previously a fertiliser plant, was perfect to re-establish as an indoor skate park. 

“Due to the nature of the proposed use, which is essentially an indoor skate park requiring large open areas for the activities, a large shed or similar is required to operate in,” the application noted.
