FLOODING has blocked multiple roads in the Scenic Rim with more rainfall forecast to fall on Tuesday morning and clear in the afternoon.
Beaudesert Nerang Road, Tabragalba is closed to traffic with both lanes blocked by floodwater.
Beaudesert Boonah Road is underwater approximately between the Beaudesert Racecourse and the traffic lights.
The section of Mt Lindesay Highway going into Beaudesert Town Centre is flooded over with all lanes affected.
Mundoolun Connection Road (Tamborine and Wonglepong) is blocked in both directions between Beaudesert Beenleigh Road and Beaudesert Nerang Road.
Roads blocked to traffic by floodwater at Cedar Creek and Tamborine are Flesser Road, Chardon Bridge Road, Plunkett Road and Waterford Tamborine Road.
Eagle Heights Road, Tamborine Mountain has both lanes blocked to traffic.
Emergency Management Minister Nikki Boyd said catchments were already quite saturated, so any rain was likely to lead to creek and river rises.
Residents are reminded floodwaters can move fast and water over roads can hide deep potholes or roads that are washed away.
Even if you know the road well or are nearly home, it doesn’t make the decision to driver through floodwater any safer.
