THE “fabulous” team of Fassifern Netball Association (FNA) volunteers was recognised at the latest presentation function.
More than 130 members and guests marked the occasion at The Vue Restaurant, honouring another fine season at the Boonah courts.
The efforts of winning and runners-up teams were also celebrated.
The major accolade for the night was the Volunteer of the Year award presented to Sam Conochie (pictured)
FNA official Sonya Gibson said Sam “is one of FNA’s amazing and valued volunteers”, holding the position of Open convenor and helping the executive when needed.
Sam also coaches a representative team and umpires.
The association’s new C Badge umpires, highlighted recently in the Guardian, also received their upgrades from Netball Queensland.
The umpires honoured were Amanda Dover, Lauren Gibson, Justine Lutter, Katrina Brennan, Wendy Herrmann and Mikayla Kruger.
Netball continues with a Social C-Grade mixed season starting on July 17.
