FASSIFERN Netball Association (FNA) players, officials, coaches and supporters have enjoyed another successful season finale.
Modified Division players aged 5-11 received their participation certificates and medals before grand finals were staged in the Intermediate, Cadets and Open divisions.
Lightning won the Intermediate decider, beating Warriors 28-20.
Sassi Fassi took out the Cadets grand final 30-24 over Tigers.
The Open division provided a thrilling battle with Amigos getting up 37-36 over Aces.
In the Intermediate final, the Warriors and Lightning teams had good seasons finishing first and second respectively.
The match was close at each quarter before Lightning edged ahead.
In the Cadets decider, Sassi Fassi and Tigers also finished first and second on the ladder.
Both teams were competitive throughout the grand final with the Sassi Fassi players coming off a representative trip to Roma the previous day.
Only one point separated the teams in the first quarter.
However, Sassi Fassi’s goal shooter and goal assist - Avalon Richards and Ruby Dover - proved to be a hot combination and too good for the Tigers’ defence.
Sassi Fassi led 16-13 in the second quarter and maintained a 25-20 third-quarter advantage before sealing the win in a final featuring great sportsmanship.

The highlight of the Monday night grand finals was the Open game.
Aces were virtually undefeated all season and Amigos advanced through the semi-finals with a two-point win against the Sweaty Bettys.
In the grand final, Aces led 8-5 after the first quarter before Amigos came back with an awesome second quarter to lead 17-12 at halftime.
Aces dominated the third quarter to trail by just one point at three-quarter time.
Amigos finally sealed victory by one goal after a nail-biting final period where both teams gave their all.

The next FNA competition starts on July 17 with social C-Grade netball for players 14 years and over.
The competition is ideal for newcomers and to meet people as there is no scoring or leaderboard tallies with emphasis on fun and exercise.
