ALL manner of weird and wonderful hay creations are popping up around the Scenic Rim; it’s a sight that acts as a reminder that Kalbar Country
Day is not far away.
The hay bale sculpture competition is hosted by the Fassifern Lions Club and each year the ever growing number of people that take part, try to one up each other.
The club’s president Don Young said there had been a few last minute entries and some people waited until the last minute to unveil their creation.
That it is always a surprise as to what will transpire seems to keep the excitement up and the community involved be that as competitor or spectator.
