EMERGENCY services closed a section of Boonah-Beaudesert Road at Wyaralong while firies fought to get a large bushfire under control.

It is understood the fire took hold along a road corridor access point near Wyaralong Dam.

Information at hand is multiple units have been dispatched including ones from Boonah, Beaudesert and Allendale depots.

Motorists stuck in the traffic jam on Boonah-Beaudesert Road report a car collision near Sandstone Quarry.

As of 6.15pm motorists report traffic is at a standstill with no movement in either direction since around 5.15pm.

It is understood lack of movement is due to the car accident and not bushfire.
