The Liberal National Party’s candidate and the incumbent for the seat of Scenic Rim will keep his seat and will serve for a fourth term in Parliament.

Mr Krause was more than 24 percent ahead of his closest competitor with 66.32 percent of the vote counted at the end of election night on Saturday.

One Nation has seemingly lost ground this election, going from more than 27 percent of the vote in the 2017 election, to receiving just 15 percent of the vote.

Labor Made ground this year, likely because of the Premier’s track record with Covid-19 and the borders, as the local candidate Luz Stanton was uncontactable for the entirety of the election campaign.
