EKKA success for cattle club kids

BOONAH High School’s cattle club students’ first experience participating in the EKKA has been a success with many coming away with ribbons and titles.
“We have had success at the local shows and more recently, Farmfest,” Aidan Richters the school’s agricultural program teacher said.
“When the kids saw the big stage they decided they wanted to go to the EKKA.
“We haven’t participated in that before, so I organised an excursion.”
The idea was for the team to gain valuable experience and of course, it was exciting to be able to show off their skills.
“We did a lot of preparation and practice beforehand with the mindset of going in there for the RNA Junior Paraders and RNA Junior Judges,” he said.
“Their achievements are testimony to the time and dedication they’ve put in.”
