T’S A brand that has been around for decades, ever evolving, LEGO continues to catch the attention of adults and children alike.
This year the Boonah show will once again run a LEGO competition.
LEGO has become increasingly popular over the years and now enjoys a strong adult following, many of whom amass large, valuable collections.
There are builds that attract myriad skill and age levels with complicated ‘modular buildings’ and large scale replicas catching the attention of adults.
LEGO Masters the TV show, encouraged a new slew of fanatics, growing its popularity even more.
Managed by Chief Steward John Gilbert, winners and runners up at Boonah Show will receive cash and a trophy lauding their building efforts.
Mr Gilbert builds LEGO, having been encouraged by his son to take up the hobby.
He said his son has an entire city set up in the basement.
The layout is complete with lighting inside individual buildings, streets, streetlights and a healthy population of minifigures.
Wisely roped off and under the watchful eyes of Mr Gilbert, this year’s LEGO section will comprise sets and MoC’s [my own creation] by local enthusiasts.
Classes range from 6-years-and-under with DUPLO builds through to adult.
