INC.MILL Photography owner Cassandra Miller was presented with the Best Business Award at the 2023 Australia Day Awards.
She said being a photographer was about documenting life and preserving memories for future generations.
“Photographers are trusted to be part of people’s best days and to capture moments both big and small as they unfold in a way that is authentic yet beautiful,” she said.
“Owning a small business is hard work, taking photos is the fun part but the time spent behind the scenes editing can be isolating if you let it.
“Donating my time and skills where I can to document community events helps me feel more connected, it’s a positive and enjoyable way to contribute.
“It was such an honour to be nominated and a complete surprise to receive the award, I feel very humbled to be recognised on such a special day.”
