Beechmont restaurant brings diners a taste of the Scenic Rim

ACCORDING to Executive Chef, Cameron Matthews, there is no ‘must have’ on The Paddock menu. 

“I have an aversion to signature dishes and must haves,” he said. 

“Because otherwise you should just have that on the menu and nothing else.” 

Lucky for diners, Cameron has developed a long list of classic dishes with a twist of Scenic Rim. 

Part of the newly opened Hazelwood Estate, The Paddock boasts floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto Beechmont’s rolling green hills. 

Designed around the idea of a club house, Cameron said despite the venue’s Nordic feel, the food is all very much about showcasing local. 

“It’s got a Scandinavian kind of feel to it by its design, but the food’s definitely Australian,” he said.
