A Boonah vet said it was an “emotional day” when he sold his veterinary practice to a Victorian-based company this week.

Dr Courtney Stevens is one of three partners in Scenic Rim Veterinary Service, which was acquired by Apiam Animal Health for $16 million on Wednesday.

Dr Stevens and his wife Dr Katie Stevens, also a vet, run the Boonah Veterinary Hospital, which the Beaudesert-based Scenic Rim vets bought last August.

“We’ve poured our heart and soul into the practice,” he said.
