The LifeFlight helicopter was tasked with rescuing a hiker who became disorientated on Mt Barney.

The man slipped down the rockface and became disorientated requiring emergency services.
A hiker used a reflective blanket to wave down an emergency chopper crew after becoming lost on Mt Barney on Thursday.
The experienced hiker, in his 30s, was hiking in the Scenic Rim on January 6 when he slipped down the rock face while descending the mountain.
The man was reportedly disoriented and had minor cuts to his lower legs, but was able to call emergency services for help.
The Queensland Police Service (QPS) tasked the Toowoomba-based RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter just after 12.30pm.
The man made himself easily visible to the chopper crew hovering overhead, by waving a reflective emergency blanket he had taken on the hike with him.
Rugged terrain required the Queensland Ambulance Service Critical Care Flight Paramedic to be winched down to the man.
The patient was assessed and treated on the ground for minor injuries, before being hoisted up to the helicopter.
The chopper transported the patient to the base of Mt Barney, where he was met by local QPS personnel.
