A MAN has died when the truck he was driving rolled over at Witheren earlier today.

Police said the Forensic Crash Unit were investigating the single vehicle crash.

Initial investigations indicate around 9.30am, a tip truck was travelling along Beechmont Road, near Rhoades Road, when it left the road and went down an embankment.

Police said the driver and single occupant of the vehicle was a 62-year-old Hillcrest man.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the circumstances of the crash and appealing to anyone who has relevant information or CCTV/dashcam footage to come forward.
