The teacher’s residence within the Kalbar School grounds will be demolished this month.

According to the Department of Education, the school Principal, the P&C and the Department agreed that the building was “surplus to requirements” in April this year.

In the slow grind of government it has taken almost five months for decision and action to coalesce and so, it was not until recently that a ‘demolition fence’ was erected in preparation for the job to be done.

“The Department has engaged QBuild to undertake this work, which will be co
