PEARLS are the latest champions in the Fassifern Tennis Association Sunday Mixed competition.

Pearls beat Sapphires 37-31 in another terrific battle.

The winning team was captained by Fassifern Tennis Association president Graham Prickett. Other team members were Maree Hahn, Roddy Abbott and Kay Marshall.

Sapphires produced a stunning turnaround in the final having lost to Pearls 42-24 in the final round of mixed fixtures.

The runner-up Sapphires team included co-captain Maz Verrall, who received a special thank you after the final for her commitment to club tennis throughout the season.

Joining Maz in the Sapphires side were team co-captain Shane Clarke – who received a “You are Awesome award” – along with Gary Holzwart and Julie Springthorpe.
